CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATING

What are the conditions for participating in the Revival Program?

  • Send the total donation for the program reservation at least 45 days before arrival by the available means of payment (please consult revival@responde.org.ar).

  •  Accept the costs of participation in the program.

  •  Arrange the dates based on availability in the villages or in Buenos  Aires.

Duration of the Program:
4 weeks with renewal option (subject to availability).  The first week is in Buenos Aires and the 3 remaining weeks are in the village if that is the destination option. In case of renewal of stay for another 4 weeks, the costs that volunteers must pay are lodging, food, etc. (that volunteers will obtain independently) and a fee equal to the donation given to Responde for the first month.  This fee must be paid at the moment of the request for an extension.

Which expenses do I have to take into account if I decide to participate?
To carry out the Revival Program, Responde does not receive any funding from any governmental organization, private company or institution, either national or international.  For this reason, Responde must ask that those interested in volunteering pay their own travel costs, lodging, and food expenses in addition to a donation to the organization that allows it to carry forth its Mission. The following is an introductory list of the approximate costs that you will be responsible for:

  • Airplane tickets.

  • Documentation processes and costs, medical insurance, etc.

  • Accommodation, food, and transportation in Buenos Aires.

  • Bus fare from Buenos Aires to the villages and back, with cost depending on destination (see approximate prices).

  • Accommodation, food, and transportation in the villages, with cost depending on destination (see approximate prices).

  • The donation you choose to provide Responde.

In general, those who look to work for an organization abroad rely on intermediary companies to facilitate contact and pay for this service. In this case, Responde, through a direct offer, asks for this contribution in the form of a donation.

Volunteer Responsibilities: Revival volunteers must perform the tasks for which they applied, facilitate the projects that are in progress in the chosen villages, and share responsibilities equally with their peers under the supervision of the program coordinator.

Volunteers agree to comply with the rules of Responde in regards to work, schedules, discipline and regularity of contact (for those who will go to the villages), assistance, and collaboration with the team.

Volunteers should also expect to behave according to the laws and customs of Argentina. Any illegal or offensive act of the volunteer puts at risk his or her own wellbeing, that of others, and of the organization. Responde reserves the right to suspend the volunteer from any project as a result of their behavior.

It is important to take into account that the life and customs in a village are often very different from those of the volunteer’s own culture. For this we ask discretion in the volunteer’s private life so that they are inconspicuous to the community and do not cause any kind of surprise, displeasure, or misunderstanding that may interfere with the volunteer’s greater task.

It is the responsibility of each volunteer to assure the completion of all documents and requirements necessary to enter the country, for example, visas, vaccines, insurance, tickets, etc.
